Many thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers and participants who made the 2024 Rainbow Run an amazing success.
We also want to thank all our long suffering friends and families without whom none of this would be possible.
Special thanks to committee members from previous years who were major contributors to our continued growth.
In 2022 the Brighton and Hove FrontRunners became the latest chapter in the worldwide LGBTQ Running Group to create their own charity run. The event was a wild success, raising over £2140 for local HIV charity, Lunch Positive.
In 2023 we returned to Hove Park bigger and better with more runner places and even more fun, raising over £3500 for The Brighton Rainbow Fund.
The third time is definitely the charm as now the number of runner places has doubled from 2022, we are ready to welcome a phenomenal 500 of you. The Rainbow Run is fast becoming one of the must-do events of the Brighton and Hove Pride Weekend.
As a runner once described it, you'll find the evening run the day before the Pride Parade to be "Something wholesome, before I go and get...[CENSORED]"
Each year we are licensed by the council for the use of the park. On the day, for the last few years, we find the toilets are locked at their normal closing time. We will be looking into hiring toilets going forward.
Each year we have approached the food vendors in the park. Every year they have confirmed they will be available for the event and on the day they are closed. We have explored external food vendors, but this would be our liability and associated costs.
Both the seafront and Preston Park are closed due to Pride, therefore Hove Park is the best park for the event
The event is open to runners from the age of 14+
A detailed briefing including information about bib collection, bag drop location, changing facilities and local transport information etc will be sent by email to entrants closer to event.
Can I run with a buggy? Can I run with a dog?
We love buggies. We love dogs. We even love doggie buggies. Regrettably, our insurance is unable to cover them. Please feel free, however, to bring them along provided you have someone to accompany them during your run.
I bought a ticket but I'm now unable to run, could I get a refund?
Please contact Nice Work to arrange this. You will find their details on your booking confirmation email.
I have a disability. Can I participate?
Of course. Hove Park is fully accessible to people with mobility or other requirements. Signers will be present. Please email us if you require any special assistance - for example if you need a guide runner.
In order for everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience we depend on volunteers to assist with marshalling, set-up and take down, pacing, and general pre- and post-run duties.
Individuals, friends and family, other running clubs: whoever you may be, your help is widely appreciated and you'll be made to feel very welcome!
