A heartfelt thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made the 2026 Brighton Rainbow Run an amazing success.

We are also immensely grateful to our long-suffering friends and families, without whom these charity events would not be possible. A special thanks goes to committee members from previous years, who have played a vital role in the continued growth of our LGBTQ+ running group.

OUR STORY

In 2022, the Brighton and Hove FrontRunners, part of the global LGBTQ+ running group community, launched their very own charity event, the Brighton Rainbow Run. This inaugural event was a tremendous success, raising over £2140 for the local HIV charity, Lunch Positive.

In 2023, we returned to Hove Park, expanding our reach with more runner places and even more fun, successfully raising over £3500 for The Brighton Rainbow Fund.

2024 saw us double the allocated runner places from 2022, welcoming an amazing 500 participants and raising an impressive £6500.

The following year, 2025, we continued our momentum, raising an additional £5960, which brings the total amount raised through these charity events to £18240.

The Brighton Rainbow Run is quickly establishing itself as a must-do event during the Brighton and Hove Pride Weekend, and we are all set to do it again in 2026.

The Brighton & Hove FrontRunners

We are a friendly Brighton Rainbow Run group made up of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer (LGBTQ+) individuals and allies. Our members include professionals, intermediate, and improver runners who meet regularly for fun, exercise, and social running, all while participating in various charity events.

FAQs

Can I run with a buggy? Can I run with a dog?

We love buggies. We love dogs. We even love doggie buggies as part of our Brighton Rainbow Run. Regrettably, our insurance cannot cover them. Please feel free to bring them along during the run, provided you have someone to accompany them while participating in our charity events.

I bought a ticket but I'm now unable to run. Could I get a refund?

Please contact Nice Work to arrange this. You will find their details on your booking confirmation email.

I have a disability. Can I participate?

Of course! Hove Park is fully accessible to people with mobility or other requirements. Signers will be present. Please email us if you require any special assistance, such as needing a guide runner, so you can fully enjoy the event with our LGBTQ+ running group.

Can the run be moved closer to the city centre?

Preston Park and the seafront are both closed due to Pride and also preparation for the pride parade.

Why is there no food available at the park?

Our insurance would make us responsible for any food sold that we bring into the park. Therefore, as a small event, we decided that this is too much of a risk. However, the park has a Waitrose, Lidl, Burger King, Nandos, and more surrounding it.

Do you have a poster I can use to promote the event?

We do! Please find a link here.

Terms of conditions

We Need Volunteers!

To ensure that everyone enjoys a safe and memorable time at the Brighton Rainbow Run, we rely on the generosity of volunteers to help with marshalling, setup and takedown, pacing, and various duties before and after the race.

Whether you are an individual, part of a group of friends and family, or a member of another running club, your assistance with this charity event is immensely valued, and you will be warmly welcomed!

Please note that volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If you're interested in getting involved with our LGBTQ+ running group, please sign up to volunteer by completing the form here. For any inquiries, feel free to email us using the contact information below.
